Viral Women Traders In Deli Serdang Become Suspects Even Though They Are Persecuted, North Sumatra Police Hold Cases

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters pays attention to the viral case of women traders in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra who became suspects even though they were victims of persecution. The North Sumatran Police are now conducting a case to confirm the procedure for determining the suspect, the mother with the initials LG.

"The case is currently being held at the regional police at the General Criminal Directorate. The goal is to make sure to examine the determination of the suspect by the police. Meanwhile, for BS, the perpetrator of the abuse of the Deli Serdang vegetable seller's mother remains a suspect. Both BS and the mother with the initials LG both reported to the police.

"Meanwhile, those at the BS Police have been declared suspects, and two other suspects on behalf of DD and FR are being chased because they are currently on the run. Polrestabes urges the two perpetrators, brothers DD and FR to surrender themselves for further proceedings," continued Kombes Ramadhan.

As previously reported, the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police Kombes Hadi Wahyudi confirmed that the North Sumatra Police responded to the viral determination of the suspect's mother with the initials LG, a vegetable seller at Gambir Market who was beaten by thugs on September 5.

Kombes Hadi said his party formed a special team to investigate the beating case. The team consisted of the Ditreskrimum of the North Sumatra Police and the Medan Police.

"The leadership of the North Sumatran Police has ordered the Director of Criminal Investigation and the Medan Police Chief to form a team and withdraw the handling of the case of mistreatment of the LG victim by a man with the initials BS to be investigated at the Medan Polrestabes Satreskrim," said Kombes Hadi, quoted from a written statement by the Medan Police, Sunday, October 10. .

The team was also ordered to immediately search for 2 other perpetrators with the initials DD and FR who were involved in the abuse of the vegetable seller's mother.

"For this reason, we urge the two people to immediately report and appear before the Medan Police Satreskrim investigators," continued Kombes Hadi.

In addition, a special team will explore the chronology of the incident to determine the cause of the abuse against the vegetable seller in Deli Serdang.

"Specifically for the case (back report from suspect BS), in which sister LG has been named a suspect by Percut Sei Tuan Police investigators, the North Sumatra Police Ditreskrimum will take steps (declare a special case and withdraw its handling) to explore the real facts," asserted Commissioner Hadi.

Viral Mother of Vegetable Traders Beaten by Thugs

Previously, a video showing female traffickers being beaten by thugs went viral on social media. The incident occurred in Gambir Market, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra.

In the video, you can see a bustling market atmosphere and a commotion between 2 thugs and a female trader in pink.

The female merchant was seen screaming and grimacing in pain from receiving the thugs' punches and kicks.

"This female trader was beaten badly by two thugs at Gambir Tembung Market. The case has also been reported to the Sector Police," the video narration wrote.

Percut Sei Tuan police chief, AKP Jan Pieter said that a perpetrator of the abuse had been arrested by the police.

"We have secured what went viral on social media, which persecuted a street vendor (PKL) a woman who happened in Gambir Market, Percut Sei Tuan District," he said, Tuesday, September 7.

AKP Jan Pieter said the suspect was still undergoing investigation. However, from a temporary investigation, the motive for the persecution was triggered by the problem of parking a motorcycle rickshaw (betor).

"The motive is because the mother who sells in that place, her goods are placed in a trishaw. Its position is in front of the road," said AKP Jan Pieter.

Next, BS, who happened to be passing by, saw the position of the rickshaw eating the road. He was annoyed and asked the rickshaw to be moved.

"It was conveyed that the rickshaw should not be moved in front of the road, it was made and a fight broke out. And at that time there was an urge to kick the reported party," he said.

Regarding the suspicion that BS is a thug, the police are still investigating.

"So far, what we know is that he wasn't a thug there. According to the suspect, he went there spontaneously, happened to pass by," he said.
