Timothée Chalamet's Charisma Radiates In Wonka's First Look Film

JAKARTA - Timothée Chalamet released his first look at Willy Wonka's character for the Charlie and The Chocolate Factory prequel film Wonka.

Chalamet is said to be playing the younger version of Wonka's character. Through a photo uploaded on Sunday, October 10, United States time, he was seen wearing a brown hat with a burgundy suit.

The second photo shows a hand holding a box opener. It is not yet known whether it was Chalamet's hand.

Directed by Paul King, the film will focus on Roald Dahl's character Wonka before he opens a chocolate factory. Reportedly there are several musical performances such as singing and dancing in this film.

On the other hand, Johnny Depp will play the adult version of Willy Wonka in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.

Besides Timothée Chalamet, Wonka also stars Olivia Colman, Keegan-Michael Key, Sally Hawkins, Paterson Joseph, Rowan Atkinson, Matt Lucas and others.

2021 will be a shining year for Chalamet. Apart from Wonka, he has just finished Dune and is preparing to promote with The French Dispatch.

The Wonka film is slated to hit theaters in 2023.
