3 Employees Are Positive For COVID-19, Central RRI Office Closed
JAKARTA - The Public Broadcasting Institute (LPP) of Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) closed its office after three of its employees tested positive for COVID-19. This closure will be carried out for the next 14 days, starting from Wednesday, July 22.
"In anticipation of the prevention of COVID-19, the LPP RRI office on Jalan Merdeka Barat 4-5 Jakarta is forced to #Lockdown," said Director of HR and General LPP RRI Nurhanuddin through his Facebook social media account, Wednesday, July 22.
All employees, he continued, will carry out work from home (WFH) activities to prevent transmission of the virus.
"All WFH employees remain absent from e-attendance and make LCKs starting today for the next 14 days, in connection with the presence of three employees each at SLN, RRI Jakarta, and Dit TMB confirmed positive for COVID-19," he said.
Furthermore, although the employees will carry out work from home and the RRI office is closed for 14 days, Nurhanuddin ensures that RRI will continue to be on the air as usual.
"Even though it is locked down, RRI broadcast operations are still running, especially Pro3, which is still on the air 24 hours. Once in the air, it remains in the air," he wrote.
It is known, RRI Surabaya also had time to close their offices and stop local broadcasts on RRI Pro1, Pro2, and Pro4 after 54 employees tested positive for COVID-19.
Later, 54 of these employees were declared free of COVID-19 after the results of their third swab test showed negative results.
Previously, Wednesday, July 22 yesterday, based on the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), the COVID-19 cases had increased by 1,882 people. This figure is obtained from examining 25,302 specimens.
In the data, there are 6 provinces with the addition of new cases above 100. Provinces with the most new cases are in DKI Jakarta with 392 cases and a total of 17,621 cases.
Then, Central Java with 319 new cases and a total of 7,726 cases. East Java has 265 new cases and a total of 19,093. East Java is also the province with the most cases in Indonesia.
Furthermore, North Sumatra has 169 new cases and a total of 3,163 cases. South Sulawesi has 150 new cases and a total of 8,407 cases. Then, South Kalimantan with 133 new cases and a total of 5,216 cases.
