Police Unload Home-made Senpi Assemblies In OKU Timur, South Sumatra
PALEMBANG - Members of Resmob Shadow Swallow (SW) Satreskrim Polres Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) East, South Sumatra dismantled a home-made firearms industry in Umbul Sari Hamlet, Buay Pemuka Bangsa Raja District.
"The 'home' of this industry was revealed after a raid was carried out by members led by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the East OKU Police, AKP Apromico on Thursday (7/10) at around 19.30 WIB," said the Head of the East OKU Police, AKBP Dalizon in Martapura, quoted by Antara, Sunday, October 10. .
During the raid, the police arrested a suspect who made a homemade firearm (senpi) with the initials RY (37) a resident of Muncak Kabau Village, Buay Pemuka Bangsa Raja District, East OKU.
The perpetrator was arrested while using methamphetamine at his home with two of his colleagues, RH (25) and FT, both residents of Kalitawar Village, Buay Bahuga District, Way Kanan Regency, Lampung Province, as narcotics owners.
"During the raid, suspect RY and his colleagues RH and FT were smoking shabu-shabu," he said.
From the hands of the suspect, RY, the police secured evidence in the form of a grinder, two drills, a file, and a roll of cable plugs.
Also seized was a welding compressor, a vise, an iron sheet forming a "magazine" and an iron scrap from a railroad track.
In addition, the police also confiscated six pieces of iron in the form of "magazines", one round iron to be used as a cylinder for homemade firearms, one end of the barrel of an FN gun, one assembled FN firearm with a brown wooden handle.
Then, one assembled firearm with a brown wooden handle and four 38mm Pin ammunition, a series of FN firearms with a magazine and one barrel with a brown wooden handle as other evidence.
Six packages of methamphetamine with a gross weight of 1.23 grams, including one weighing scale, one plastic shovel and two gas lighters were also secured.
"Currently, the three suspects and evidence have been secured at the East OKU Police Headquarters for further investigation," he said.
