Basarnas Searches For A Man After Three Days Lost In The Kumalona Forest
JAKARTA - Basarnas is searching for a man named Jaruddin (55) who has been reported missing since October 5, 2021 in the forest of Kumalona Village, Mawasangka Induk District, Central Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra).
Head of the Kendari Basarnas Aris Sofingi in Kendari, Friday, October 8, said that his party received information about the incident at 21.00 WITA from the victim's family named Hasan who reported that a dangerous condition had occurred, namely one person was missing in the forest of Kumalona Village.
"Based on the report, at 21:20 WITA the rescue team of the Raha SAR alert unit in Muna Regency was dispatched to the scene of the accident to provide SAR assistance," said Aris through a press release from the Kendari Basarnas Public Relations.
The victim reportedly left for the forest of Kumalona Village since October 5, 2021 at around 03.00 WITA to hunt jungle fowl.
"The victim's habit was to return at 18.00 WITA, but the victim never returned," he said.
A search has been carried out by the victim's family, the surrounding community, and members of the Mawasangka Police, but the victim has not been found.
"Until this information we received the search for victims with zero results. The distance to the accident scene is about 114 km from the Raha SAR Post," said Aris.
