Head Of BNPB Launches Mask Car In Makassar
MAKASSAR - Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Ganip Warsito launched a mask car carrying 500 thousand pieces to be distributed to residents of South Sulawesi.
"So there are 500 thousand masks and later there will be an additional 500 thousand for the TNI/Polri and will be handed over to the Pangdam and Kapolda," said Ganip on the sidelines of releasing the mask car in front of the Manunggal General HM Yusuf building in Makassar, quoted by Antara, Friday, October 8.
Ganip said the purpose of providing masks through the mobile car service was to educate and disseminate information about the importance of people using masks to protect themselves, as well as others from COVID-19 transmission.
The head of BNPB said the launch of mask cars was also carried out in other areas simultaneously.
Therefore, he invited the public to always pay attention to the implementation of health protocols in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, he continued, encouraging people to succeed in the vaccination program by participating in vaccines at vaccination service locations.
Ganip expressed his appreciation to the South Sulawesi Provincial Government for having succeeded in reducing the level of the COVID-19 pandemic from level 3 to 2 of the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). In fact, it is expected to drop to level 1.
Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII DPR TB Ace Hasan Syadzily said BNPB is a partner who deserves high appreciation as the COVID-19 Handling Task Force who has worked hard with the TNI/Polri.
"The current achievements by sloping COVID-19 cases are due to the cooperation of all parties, both for the implementation of health protocols and vaccination programs," he said.
At the launch of the mask car, officials from Forkopimda Makassar City, Maros Regency and Gowa, Pangdam XIV/Hasanuddin Major General TNI Mochamad Syafei Kasno and South Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Merdisyam were present.
