Nakes KKB Victims In Kiwirok Papua Undergo Trauma Healing, Alhamdullilah Has Gradually Improved
PAPUA - Komnas HAM Papua Representative collaborated with the psychological institution of Cenderawasih University (Uncen) Jayapura to conduct psychological recovery and conversations with health workers (nakes) victims of the KKB violence case in Kiwirok.
The Head of Komnas HAM Papua Representative Frits G. Ramandey said this trauma healing for health workers was also aimed at making health workers able to provide good information to the Papua Regional Police.
"Komnas HAM Papua Representative is very grateful because the program for assisting the victims' health workers can run according to the planned activities," said Frits in Jayapura as quoted by Antara, Friday, October 8.
According to Frits, from a number of health workers who were victims of KKB violence, their mental condition has gradually recovered. From the results of the assistance, the victim has also begun to dare to speak.
According to Frits, Komnas HAM Papua Representative has coordinated with the Victim Witness Protection Agency (LPSK). The Gunung Bintang Regency Government was also asked to guarantee workers' rights.
"Workers' rights such as wages and other needs must be maintained properly," he said.
