Afternoon Robbery In Bali, Pretending To Ask For Drinking Water Then Tie Up Victims, Take IDR 37 Million In Escape

BANGLI - Bangli Police, Bali, are hunting for a robber who took part in the house of resident Kadek Ardiasih (24) on Ambian Tihing Street, Pucak Cemeng, Cempaga Village, Bangli Regency, Bali.

"There has been a criminal act of theft with violence or robbery with the victim (female) Kadek Ardiasih by means of the victim being tied with a scarf and covering her mouth with a scarf," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bangli Police AKP Androyuan Elim, Friday, October 8

The robbery occurred on Thursday, October 7 at noon. From the victim's statement, the perpetrator initially pretended to ask for drinking water.

But after being given water, the perpetrator tied the victim using three scarves. After tying up the victim, the perpetrator took Rp35 million from the victim's father and Rp2 million from the victim's child.

In addition, the perpetrator also took a gold ring belonging to the victim. "With this incident, the victim suffered a loss of Rp. 37 million and 1 gold ring," explained AKP Elim.

From the location of the robbery, the police secured scarves, wood, and a red bag where money was stored as evidence.

"He didn't hurt the victim, he was only threatened and then tied up. From the victim's statement, there was one perpetrator. So far, 8 witnesses have been examined," said AKP Elim.
