TWK Doubtful After 57 Employees Are Offered To Become ASN Police, KPK: Credible Or Not That's BKN's Territory

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo's plan to withdraw Novel Baswedan et al to become State Civil Apparatus (ASN) after being expelled from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has raised doubts regarding the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK).

Many parties think that the TWK of KPK employees is not credible because Novel et al are now being targeted to be recruited by the Bhayangkara Corps. In fact, the results of the assessment stated that they could not be trained so that they could not be appointed as ASN at the KPK.

Responding to this, the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, confirmed that the test, which was a condition for the transfer of employee status, was purely the responsibility of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) as the executor. The KPK as a user, he said, was not in the place to comment further on whether or not the implementation of the TWK was credible.

"KPK once again implements TWK based on law, it is BKN that determines the outcome. We obey the authority of each party, namely BKN," Ghufron told reporters, Friday, October 8.

"So we are not in the capacity to comment, meaning that yesterday's TWK was not credible and so on. Again, that is the territory of BKN," he added.

According to Ghufron, it was BKN that could explain why dozens of its employees, including Novel Baswedan, did not pass the TWK but instead were looked at and could become ASN in the Police.

"Once again, it is the area of BKN that determines, we are only in the user's position in the implementation of TWK. The implementation of TWK is carried out by BKN, the results are also determined by BKN," he said.

Previously reported, the National Police expressed their seriousness in recruiting 57 former KPK employees including Novel Baswedan as State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the Bhayangkara Corps. This seriousness is shown by having prepared various plans to make it happen, including holding a meeting.

For information, on September 30 yesterday as many as 57 KPK employees who did not pass the TWK were respectfully dismissed by the KPK.

The dismissed KPK employees came from various levels of office ranging from deputy, director to functional employees and investigators such as Novel Baswedan, Yudi Purnomo, Rizka Anungata, Harun Al Rasyid, Budi Agung Nugroho and other names.
