Abandoned By Driver Asks Residents For Address, Expeditionary Car Takes Off The Thief

JAKARTA - Police arrested a car thief belonging to an expedition company in the Gading Serpong area, Kelapa Dua District, Tangerang Regency, Banten. It is known, the theft occurred on Wednesday, October 6, evening.

Kelapa Dua Police Chief, AKP Fredy Yudha Satria said the perpetrator was arrested in a drunken state and is currently under investigation by Kelapa Dua Police officers.

"The person has been arrested. Last night he was drunk, so this morning we were only able to check the person," said AKP Fredy Yudha when confirmed, Thursday, October 7.

Fredy has not explained in detail the chronology of the theft case. He confirmed that they are currently investigating the perpetrators.

"Yes, the perpetrator is being investigated," he said.

Previously, the car theft had gone viral and circulated outside on social media. In the video, the perpetrator is seen hiding in a sewer. A number of residents shouted at him to get out of hiding.

In the video, the courier who owns the car who was the victim in the action tells a brief chronology of the incident. At that time, he was getting out of his car for a while and was about to ask a local resident for an address. At that point, the suspect got inside and took the car away.
