"The perpetrator stole the cellphone by taking it from the dashboard of the victim's vehicle when the victim was also aware of it," said AKBP Putu, Friday, October 8.

Finding his cellphone stolen, the victim immediately shouted. However, during his escape, the perpetrator's motorbike broke down.

"The victim immediately shouted at the perpetrator, a thief. At that time, the perpetrator fled on his motorbike, coincidentally the perpetrator's motorbike broke down and the perpetrator was immediately secured by the community and Kisaran City Police personnel," said AKBP Putu.

From the hands of the perpetrator, the evidence officer was 1 piece of silver Oppo A16 brand JP. Then, 1 unit of red motorcycle without a vehicle plate number.

"In order to account for the perpetrator's actions, we apply Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 7 years in prison," he said.
