JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to supervise the governance of his ministry. This request was made because he realized that the Ministry of Agriculture often makes strategic policies related to food in the country.

For this reason, he hopes that the KPK will continue to monitor and provide assistance to the ministries he leads. Moreover, he does not want to go to prison for committing corrupt practices.

One aspect that Syahrul asked the KPK to oversee was the governance of his ministry. According to him, managing the agricultural sector is complex with a very large ecosystem, so supervision is very necessary.
