PDIP-PSI Surprised That Commitment Fee Payments Can Go Down, Urges Anies To Explain To DPRD
JAKARTA - The PDIP and PSI factions of the DKI DPRD admitted that they were surprised that the DKI Provincial Government was able to get a reduction in the commitment fee for Formula E. Initially, it was estimated that the Formula E budget would reach Rp. 2.3 trillion with the application for regional capital participation (PMD) of Rp. 470 billion per year.
However, after re-negotiating with Formula E Operation (FEO), the DKI Provincial Government is now only paying a commitment fee of IDR 560 billion or around IDR 186 billion.
Member of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD, Ima Mahdiah, urged the Governor of DKI Jakarta, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, through the BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) to explain to the DPRD regarding the results of the renegotiation.
"Regarding the commitment fee, Jakpro must be able to explain to the DPRD why initially the commitment fee in their PMD submission documents each year is an average of IDR 470 billion. Now suddenly it has changed to IDR 186 billion per year," said Ima when contacted, Friday, October 8 .
"Is it after being crowded that it was finally discovered that the actual commitment fee was only Rp. 186 billion?" he continued.
Agreed, Member of the PSI faction of the DKI DPRD, Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo, said that the DKI Provincial Government had never opened a document regarding the agreement for the implementation of Formula E with FEO from the start.
Because the initial agreement documents up to the renegotiation were not submitted, Anggara saw that there were irregularities. In fact, he said, the Rp560 commitment fee that had been paid was using the APBD.
"The document should have been attached to us at the DPRD. Considering that the contract was financed from the APBD, why were we not notified at the DPRD? It's different if, for example, the payment of the contract uses Jakpro's corporate money, yes, we can respect it," said Anggara.
Previously, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government managed to get a reduction in the commitment fee for Formula E, which was originally estimated to reach Rp. 2.3 trillion to Rp. 560 billion for a 3-year implementation.
President Director of PT Jakpro Widi Amanasto explained the reason why DKI was able to get a lower cost burden. He said this was thanks to Jakpro's strategy of re-negotiating with Formula E Operation (FEO).
In the negotiations, Jakpro asked FEO to understand that in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, Formula E could not be implemented if it was expensive.
"Yes, because of the COVID-19 condition. We use tactics in negotiations. Now in our condition, what is it like? We'll take it down too. Because it's impossible to do if it's according to the initial business plan that we made. It's very difficult for us to implement it," said Widi on Wednesday, October 6th.
