JAKARTA - The head office of the State Electricity Company (PLN), which is located at Jalan Trunojoyo Blok M, South Jakarta, is temporarily closed until Friday, July 24, 2020. This is because 2 employees at the head office of the state-owned electricity company were found to be positive for the COVID-19 virus.
According to a written statement from PLN Executive Vice President Corporate Communication and CSR Agung Murdifi, Wednesday, July 22, the office is currently being sterilized by spraying disinfectants.
"For a while, PLN is implementing work from home (WFH) for employees who work at the head office," said Agung.
He stated, PLN continues to prioritize health protocols in company activities to increase awareness of the spread of COVID-19. He said, PLN continues to emphasize the use of masks, wash hands and physical distancing or maintain a distance while working.
In addition, said Agung, PLN also held random tests for employees. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the internal environment, PLN still applies work from home (WFH) for some employees at the PLN Central office. In this WFH scheme, PLN ensures that all services continue to run well.
To maintain good service, PLN is supported by technology such as geotagging application-based employee presence, online-based meeting mechanisms, correspondence using the Corporate Mail Management Application (AMS) and storage and transfer of work data via a cloud system.
Meanwhile, officers who have to remain in the control and maintenance centers of electricity continue to work by raising high standards of health.
"We ensure that the electricity supply for customers is maintained during the implementation of the WFH concept, because this only applies to PLN Headquarters only, while the guard and field services continue as usual," said Agung.
He further explained, for employees with critical types of work such as Operators, Control Room Officers, Dispatchers, Technical Services, Maintenance, Customer Service or Contact Centers, Medical Personnel, etc. who cannot be left operationally, will continue to work by following health protocols. applicable.
In addition, while on duty during working hours, they will receive healthy food and additional vitamins, and are prohibited from entering the work area outside the Control Room and Dispatcher.
"PLN also conducts routine health checks on employees, and provides facilities for medical examination rooms along with medical personnel and supporting equipment. PLN also provides shuttle transportation from homes to work places to prevent officers from contracting the COVID-19 virus. PLN also adds units.
