Gus Yasin Makes Handling Orphans A Priority In Extreme Poverty Areas
JAKARTA - The Deputy Governor of Central Java, Taj Yasin Maimoen, asked that the handling of orphans in districts with extreme poverty be prioritized. The five regencies are, Banjarnegara, Banyumas, Pemalang, Kebumen, and Brebes.
He said this after receiving directions from Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, when he held a meeting to handle extreme poverty in five districts at the Gradhika Bhakti Praja Building, Thursday, October 7. He encouraged the OPD that assists villages for poverty alleviation in Central Java to get involved.
"Because the instructions are how to handle (extreme poverty) in the five districts, below which there are sub-districts, the descendants are villages, we have encouraged OPDs who have assisted villages in the five districts. Mainly for the handling of orphans, orphans, orphans in the area to be prioritized ," said Gus Yasin, the deputy governor at his official residence.
Until now, his staff has carried out a needs assessment for orphans who are victims of COVID-19 in Central Java. The Central Java Provincial Government will immediately take steps related to handling orphans, according to their needs.
“For example, education, how their survival will be, who will take care of them. That's all we assess," he added.
Separately, the Head of the People's Welfare Bureau (Kesra) of Central Java Province, Imam Maskur, said that his party had submitted data for orphans living in villages assisted by the Central Java OPD.
"This week we have sent data on orphans, orphans, and orphans to each OPD," said Imam, confirmed by telephone.
Imam explained that so far there are 81 assisted villages in Central Java, which are known to have orphans, orphans, and orphans.
"We will coordinate for the next month regarding the progress of handling each OPD," he added. Informed, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin is optimistic that extreme poverty in five districts in Central Java will be overcome by the end of 2021.
He conveyed this after holding a closed meeting with the Central Java Provincial Government at the Gradhika Bhakti Praja Building, Semarang. In addition to holding a closed meeting, the Vice President also reviewed the vaccination center for the community.
