JAKARTA - A number of athletes and officials in Jayapura were confirmed positive for COIVD-19, both asymptomatic and mild.

They have been treated well through integrated isolation or treated in hospitals that have been prepared.

The General Chairperson of the Jayapura City PON Sub, Benhur Tomi Mano suggested to the Central KONI that the remaining Papua PON matches could be held without spectators, namely in branches where the athletes were confirmed to be positive for COVID-19.

His party will also tighten health protocols in each arena by strengthening security from the TNI-Polri.
