Central Jakarta Police Are Still Waiting For The Results Of The Police Hospital Examination To Hold Cases Of Alleged Harassment At KPI
JAKARTA - Muhammad Mualimin, MS's legal team for victims of alleged sexual harassment and bullying at the KPI office are still waiting for the results of a forensic psychiatric examination at the Police Hospital, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.
The results will later be used to improve the legal status of the reported parties.
"The police are waiting for medical evidence from the psychiatrist at the Police Hospital to raise the legal status and carry out the case," he said when contacted by VOI, Thursday, October 7.
As is known, cases of alleged sexual harassment and bullying of MS victims are still ongoing at the Central Jakarta Police Headquarters. Central Jakarta Police Criminal Investigators are still investigating.
"Next Thursday, it is planned that the victim along with his wife and mother will go to the Police Hospital for further psychological examinations, in order to complete the evidence," said Mualimin.
Furthermore, Mualimin said, if the examination at the Police Hospital is complete, the results will be used by the investigative team.
"The results of the MS examination at the Police Hospital will be used by the Central Jakarta Police to hold cases," he said.
Until now, MS's legal team continues to provide assistance to victims and their families.
As previously reported, the case of alleged sexual harassment and bullying that befell MS emerged after he wrote an open letter which went viral on social media on Wednesday, September 1 last.
In the open letter, MS admitted that he had been a victim of bullying since he worked at KPI in 2012. He even experienced sexual harassment by five of his co-workers in 2015 in the office.
MS admitted that he had reported this to his superiors and the Gambir Police in 2019, but the report was never followed up.
After the open letter went viral, KPI and the police started to investigate this case. Central Jakarta Police has examined 5 reported persons who are said to have sexually harassed MS. Propam was also involved in investigating allegations of omission.
