Today's Weather Forecast: Here Are A Number Of Areas That Will Experience Heavy Rain With Lightning
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts heavy rain that can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds has the potential to hit several areas in Indonesia.
Based on data compiled from the official BMKG website, the weather occurred in Aceh, Riau Islands, Bengkulu, Jambi, and South Sumatra.
Similar weather also has the potential to occur in Central Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Maluku, and West Papua.
Meanwhile, areas that have the potential for rain that can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds are North Sumatra, Lampung, West Java, West Kalimantan, and Papua.
"Meanwhile, East Java has the potential to experience strong winds," said an official statement from the BMKG quoted by Antara, Thursday, September 7.

The BMKG also issued a warning of 2.5-4 meters high waves in the North Natuna Sea, North Sabang Waters, West Waters of Simeulue Island to the Mentawai Islands, Bengkulu Waters, and Enggano Waters to West Lampung.
Similar warnings also apply to the West Indian Ocean of Sumatra, the Western and Southern Sunda Strait, the Southern Waters of Banten to Sumba Island, the Bali Strait - Lombok - Southern Alas, and the South Indian Ocean of Banten to East Nusa Tenggara.
Coastal communities and the shipping sector are expected to be aware of the potential for high waves.
