Moeldoko Realizes Sudarsih's Mobile Vegetable Trader's Dream

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Farmers Harmony (HKTI) Moeldoko realized the dream of Sudarsih (78), a mobile vegetable trader, by giving him a cart.

"We provide assistance so that mothers can spend more and sell more. Farmers are also selling more. Mothers are light, our farmers are also light," said Moeldoko to Sudarsih when handing over the carts, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, October 6.

Moeldoko, who is also the Head of the Presidential Staff Office, couldn't bear to see Sudarsih struggling to carry his wares as he passed in front of the HKTI office.

Sudarsih was also grateful for the gift of the cart. Owning a cart has been his dream since he started selling vegetables.

"From the beginning, I wanted to trade, I couldn't buy a cart, now someone loves it. Thank God, sir," said Sudarsih.

Sudarsih admits that he sells vegetables around to support himself, who is alone.

"I walked 20 kilometers. I traded vegetables around, carried," said Sudarsih.
