North Sumatra Samosir Police Reveals Gambling And Prostitution Cases, Sheets And Skirts Are Evidence
MEDAN - The Samosir Resort Police, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) has uncovered cases of gambling and prostitution practices that have been troubling the public.
"Gambling and prostitution are a (concentrated) societal disease and must be eradicated by the police," said Samosir Police Chief AKBP Josua Tampubolon, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, October 6.
He said that taking action against all forms of gambling and prostitution is a police commitment, because it is very disturbing to the community.
"I thank the people who have provided information about the practice of gambling and prostitution in the jurisdiction of the Samosir Police," he said.
AKBP Josua hopes that any information provided by the public must be accompanied by evidence and data instructions for the initial steps of the investigation.
"Information from the public is very meaningful to us as part of our investigation efforts. Of course, we hope that the information provided is accurate, so that we can handle it more quickly," he said.
The Chief of Police said, as a form of commitment in eradicating gambling, in the period August to September 2021, his party managed to investigate 8 gambling cases in the jurisdiction of the Samosir Police.
As for the prostitution case, his party is conducting an investigation with LP/A-267/X/2021/SPKT.SAT RESKRIM/POLRES SAMOSIR/POLDASU on October 4, 2021, reported Rosdiana Br Pasaribu.
"The Reported Party is suspected of committing a criminal act because of his habit of intentionally carrying out or facilitating obscene acts with other people, and violating Article 29 of the Criminal Code," said AKBP Josua.
The police chief added that in the prostitution case, the police confiscated evidence of IDR 200,000 in cash, one piece of green underwear, one ambal, one blue sheet, one black t-shirt, one black skirt, and three cellphones.
