From The Case Of Fake Plates At The Russian Consulate, Now Doctor Fauzi Nasution Is Being Sued For Controlling Assets In Medan
MEDAN - Doctor Fauzi Nasution and the Russian Ambassador to Indonesia were sued for Rp15 billion by Sahat Sitompul. Doctor Fauzi was once in the spotlight about the license plate of the Russian consulate which turned out to be fake.
The trial for the lawsuit was supposed to be held today, Wednesday, October 6, but was postponed because the representative of Defendant II, the Russian Ambassador to Indonesia, was not present.
The trial of the lawsuit in the Cakra III room, Medan District Court (PN) was chaired by Judge Saidin Bagariang. The trial was attended by Fauzi Nasution as the defendant and his attorney
Sahat Sitompul's attorney, Arfan, said that they submitted this lawsuit so that the court would cancel all reports reported by Defendant I, Dr. Fauzi Nasution, on behalf of the Russian government against his client at the North Sumatra Police. In addition, they asked the defendant to provide material compensation costs of Rp. 15 billion.
"So our client was reported to the Regional Police by Dr. Fauzi on behalf of the Russian government for the ownership of Russian assets in Medan. So all this time he was on behalf of the Russian government, it turns out that at trial we saw that it had been revoked. It was revoked by the Russian government which stated that he had always claimed to be a consul ," said Arfan.
He explained that the lawsuit was originally filed when the case of alleged fake Russian consulate license plates emerged at the Medan Polrestabes. After that, it was later discovered that the Medan Polrestabes said that Fauzi was not a representative of the Russian consulate in Medan.
"So we heard from the Polrestabes, so we filed this case. It turns out that all this time we have been deceived from the Polda, right. This case has been rolling in the Regional Police for a long time, he sued us but it turns out that Polrestabes said he was all fake. That's why we are suing civilly," said Arfan.
Arfan also explained about Sahat Sitompul who reportedly controlled the assets of the Russian government, which Fauzi Nasution complained about representing the Russian government to the Poldasu. According to him, the land has been controlled by his client for 30 years.
"So we ask (the report) to be annulled (the panel of judges). So even if we want to get out of there, we ask the Russian government to replace it. For 30 years, the land has been abandoned by us who have been guarding it, don't let them admit that it belongs to them through Pak Fauzi," he explained.
Arfan also explained that during the trial, Fauzi Nasution also submitted a letter from the Russian Embassy to RI. In the letter, said Arfan, Fauzi Nasution no longer represents the Russian government.
"That's what we photographed earlier, we haven't read it officially, but in front of the judge we saw that he was removed from the consul. That means he's private now. So we want to know that until today, the Russian Representative hasn't been present, so we haven't received any statement yet. what. Has it really been given power or made it up, "explained Arfan.
Fauzi Nasution also said Arfan, had asked him to withdraw this lawsuit.
"Earlier, his request was revoked, it can't be withdrawn from the lawsuit. It means that he released himself, Russia has taken over everything. But until today, it's only a 3-month request. We'll just have to wait for the government to come and then we can know," concluded Arfan.
