Inaugurate Binjai Deputy Mayor, Governor Edy: Don't Be Smart, Know Yourself
MEDAN - Rizky Yunanda Sitepu was officially inaugurated as Deputy Mayor of Binjai for the period 2021-2024 by the Governor of North Sumatra (Gubsu) Edy Rahmayadi.
Rizky Yunanda was originally scheduled to be sworn in on Monday, October 4. However, it had to be postponed due to Governor Edy's poor health condition.
In his remarks, Governor Edy said the mayor and his deputy were head and neck.
"Representative if I compare him to the neck. While the head belongs to the number one person," said Governor Edy, Wednesday, October 6.
The former Pangkostrad explained that the head and neck must be able to work well together. Governor Edy said that the mouth in the head can indeed taste which durian fruit is sweet or bitter. However, this head must also know himself.
"If he forgot he swallowed a fish with bones, he stabbed him in the neck, which also hurt his head," said Governor Edy.
He also asked the representative to know himself or his position as a representative. "If you're smart, don't be smart," said Governor Edy.
Governor Edy told about the head and neck so that the mayor and his deputy could be more harmonious in running the government.
Because, the experience he has encountered so far, the relationship between the mayor or regent and his deputy, runs harmoniously for only three months, the rest there is a commotion between them.
It is feared that this condition will hinder development in the region. He wants every regional head to be able to establish good communication. If there is a problem, it is immediately resolved together, not moving separately.
Gubsu Edy also reminded the two of them about the possibility that there would be parties who would pit them against each other. For that, both of them should not be provoked by it. If not, then everything will be fragmented later.
"The point I say is loyalty. You are sworn in. So take care of each other. Harmony is the only way for God's blessing so that you can build Binjai City well," concluded Governor Edy.
Therefore, the Forkopimda of Binjai City is expected to play a role in keeping the two in harmony and harmony.
"I entrust the two of them, ensure their harmony, because the development in Binjai City is in their hands," said Governor Edy.
Deputy Mayor of Binjai, Rizky Yunanda Sitepu ensured that the partnership would not break up with the mayor. He admitted that his father asked him not to ever precede his leader, the Mayor of Binjai.
"His teachings, guiding me not to be too ahead of the head, that's the direction of my parents, hopefully we'll never have problems, break up the partnership, never hopefully," said Rizky.
Rizky is the son of the former Regent of Langkat for two terms, Ngogesa Sitepu. He managed to sit as the number two in Binjai City after winning the election of Deputy Mayor of Binjai in the Binjai DPRD.
