The Mayor Of South Tangerang Said, What Made The Cisadane River Turn Red, Turned Out To Be Sausage Plastic Waste
TANGSEL – South Tangerang Mayor Benyamin Davnie spoke about the contamination of the Cisadane river which turned red because it was mixed with plastic waste.
Benyamin Davnie explained, his party has made an Investigation Report (BAP) through the South Tangerang Civil Service Police Unit.
"So it's a plastic washing factory, the red is from his report from the sausage wrapper, so it's from the dye. Yesterday, Sunday, the BAP and Satpol PP were directly in it," said Benjamin, according to a VOI source, Tuesday, October 5.
Benyamin said, so far his party is still waiting for the laboratory results to be able to see whether there is a criminal element or not in the pollution of the Cisadane river.
"Still waiting for laboratory results. Laboratory results in the next seven days," said Benjamin Davnie.
Previously, a viral video showing the Cisadane river was red. The video was widely discussed by netizens because the red waste liquid could possibly damage the ecosystem in the river.
Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Tangerang Police, AKP Angga Surya Saputra, said that his party had taken plastic samples and Cisadane River water to be tested in the laboratory.
"We will take some samples, both washed garbage and river water samples and we will take the plastic containing the mixture of the pollution source to the lab. We are conducting an investigation, we will ask several people for information," AKP Angga explained to reporters. , Monday September 4th.
Komarudin, the plastic waste manager, said that his party admitted that it was wrong to dump the former waste into the Cisadane River. He admits that he missed because his workers dumped the dye from the washed plastic into the Cisadane River.
"It was a mistake to wash it. But we have proven it and have tried it, (the red color) is food coloring," said Komarudin, Monday, October 4.
