There Is Good News From Sri Mulyani: Salary For 13 Civil Servants Is Liquid Next Month
JAKARTA - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani stated that she would immediately distribute the salaries of the 13 civil servants in August. This year, the budget prepared for the distribution of the 13th salary in total is valued at IDR 28.5 trillion.
Sri emphasized that the policy for the disbursement of the 13th salary for civil servants would be similar to the payment of holiday allowances (THR). This means that payments do not apply to state officials.
"For this 13th salary and pension policy, we are implementing and paying attention to the THR policy that was carried out last May, which is not given to state officials, echelon I, echelon II and other officials at the same level," he said in a video conference with journalists, Tuesday, July 21.
Other State Civil Servants (ASN), TNI, and Polri who are not included in this category can still receive the 13th salary. This is because it is not included in the list that cannot be obtained from the Ministry of Finance.

The state treasurer said that the policy took into account state expenditure for handling COVID-19. Meanwhile, the allocation of funds amounting to Rp. 28.5 trillion consists of a budget allocation of Rp. 14.6 trillion.
The details are for salaries and allowances attached to the central ASN salary of Rp.6.73 trillion. In addition, the government has also allocated IDR7.86 trillion for pensioners. The rest came from the APBD for regional ASN amounting to Rp. 13.89 trillion.
Sri explained that the implementation of the 13th salary policy this year will be carried out through amendments to Government Regulation Number 35 of 2019 and Government Regulation Number 38 of 2019. This is because it adjusts to the situation of COVID-19. So, there will be revisions.
"We will coordinate with the Minister of PAN RB in the PP changes which are expected to be completed in 1-2 weeks, so that in August we can make the payment of the 13th salary for all ASN, TNI, Polri, and retirees," he said.
In addition, Sri hopes that the provision of the 13th salary can provide a stimulus to the economy, complementing the stimulus package that has been rolled out. Moreover, the disbursement of the 13th salary was carried out in line with the start of the new school year.
