PSI Admits It Has Not Sent Viani's Dismissal Letter To The DKI DPRD
JAKARTA - The chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) DPP Isyana Bagoes Oka said that his party had not sent a letter regarding the dismissal of Viani Limardi from his party membership to the chairman of the DKI DPRD.
Thus, Viani is still a member of the DKI Regional Representative Council. Isyana admitted that they are still waiting for the signatures of PSI General Chair Grace Natalie and PSI Secretary General Raja Juli Antoni regarding the notice of dismissal.
"There are several internal matters that we are still taking care of. We are waiting for the signatures of the General Chairperson and the PSI Secretary General," said Isyana when contacted, Wednesday, October 6.
Isyana emphasized that the administrative process to prepare for interim changes of DPRD members from a party does take time. However, he insisted there was no significant problem.
"The process is indeed long, it can't be like turning the palm of the hand. Actually there is no problem. There is no consideration whatsoever. We just want to make the wording in the letter correct and in accordance with applicable law," he explained.
Isyana also cannot confirm when the letter will be sent to the DKI DPRD. "I can't give a detailed estimate. Just wait. Once the internal process is complete, we will definitely send it," he continued.
Previously, Plt. DKI DPRD Secretary Augustinus said that his party had not received Viani's dismissal letter from PSI. When the letter of dismissal has been received by the DPRD, the Chairperson of the DKI DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, will send a letter to the Regional General Election Commission (KPU) of the DKI Jakarta Province.
"So when the letter is received, the chairman of the DPRD will write to the KPUD to ask for the next most votes from the PSI faction to sit as a member of the DKI DPRD for replacement," Prasetyo told VOI, Wednesday, September 29.
After that, Prasetyo will write to DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan for the interim replacement (PAW) of DPRD members. Then, Anies will write to the Minister of Home Affairs to issue a decree (SK) to change his board members.
