Menpora Amali Calls Papua PON Success Depends On The Cooperation Of All Parties

JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic (Menpora) Zainudin Amali conveyed that the success of the XX Papua PON which was held in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic really depends on the cooperation of all parties.

To note, this time PON uses a bubble to bubble system for athletes and officials, as well as good cooperation and mutual cooperation from all stakeholders for the implementation of this four-year national sporting event.

"The implementation of the Papua PON applies a bubble to bubble system as applied at the Tokyo Olympics. That is, athletes and officials only go from the inn to the competition venue and vice versa cannot go anywhere. And all athletes who are participants have all been vaccinated," said Menpora Amali according to official statement received by the editor, Tuesday, October 5th.

"An important note in organizing this PON, is the extraordinary cooperation of all relevant stakeholders. So, no longer seeing this is anyone's business, everyone is working together. "Everyone involved, including athletes, coaches and officials, has been vaccinated up to 60-70 percent as expected by the President and the committee have also worked very well. Also, every time they compete or not compete regularly, athletes and officials at least receive an antigen swab," explained Menpora Amali. .

From this implementation, continued Menpora Amali, there is nothing to worry about, this is because most of the people have been vaccinated and the handling and procedures for the committee are very strict.

"I think that with the implementation of this PON, the Papuan people are very happy, we just need to communicate well with them, give them protection, the process is carried out well by the organizers so that everything is comfortable," he added.

This PON Papua shows everyone, no matter how hard the work, if you do it together, you can do it together.
