"With the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs, the Minister of Tourism, the Minister of Transportation and the Minister of Health. Now the momentum is indeed possible to open the door for foreign tourists," said Koster in his written statement, Tuesday, October 5.
Koster said the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in Bali was good. Daily cases continue to decline and cure rates are rising
"We hope that the positivity rate will continue to improve as well as the positivity rate at number 1 and the BOR will also drop drastically. This has been a fairly stable situation for the past few weeks. We have continued to observe it. Therefore, it has been decided on a good day according to local Balinese wisdom on October 14 International flights will be opened for foreign tourists to enter Bali," said Koster.
He said international flights to Bali were reserved for countries with a low COVID-19 risk. The flight was direct from that country to Bali without transit.
"We will also use travel conditions, such as having 2 vaccines, then having an H-3 PCR test before departure and also filling out the EHAC application which is integrated with the PeduliLindung application and the welovebali application," he said.
"Likewise, at Ngurah Rai Airport, the PCR will be tested, wait an hour and will be placed in a temporary hotel for 8 days. And we will swab again. If it is negative, we invite you to travel in Bali or change hotels," continued Koster.
Likewise for hotels that are confirmed to meet the CHSE certificate. Health protocols in each hotel are strictly enforced, with officers stationed at all points and a guide letter (SP) and guide book have been made.
Meanwhile, SOE Minister Erick Thohir said that his party, together with the Governor of Bali, were committed to repairing Benoa Harbor, Bali.
"Hopefully in 1 (or) 2 years it can become a reality and can also help Bali tourism not only from the air but also from the sea. Incidentally I am new from Papua, I also congratulate the Governor of Bali athletes' achievements at PON Papua are very good," he said.
The Ministry of SOEs also continues to support the revival of tourism in Bali in accordance with the cooperation between the ministry and local governments.
"In dealing with COVID-19, it can't be 100 percent protected, so discipline must be prioritized.
Access to flights will ensure how to support Bali tourism, not only for foreign countries but also for local ones," he said.
