Newly Launched Asma Nadia Novel Assalamualaikum Beijing 2: Lost In Ningxia, Ready To Be Filmed

JAKARTA - Writer Asma Nadia released her latest novel entitled Assalamualaikum Beijing 2: Lost in Ningxia today, 5 October. His latest book is circulated through the KBM App, a local writing and reading application.

Starting from the wishes of the readers, Asma started a new story with Assalamualaikum Beijing 2. “When I first started writing, I had several choices. The first one continued the love story of Asma and Zhongwen, but then with various considerations I withheld the first choice,” Asma Nadia said online.

Like the first story, this love story takes the background of the Bamboo Curtain country. It is said that there was a woman named Rani who embraced Islam and went to the city of Ningxia.

Rani's journey encounters obstacles due to challenges that make her heart waver. Rani's story and her spiritual life will be featured in Assalamualaikum Beijing 2: Lost in Ningxia.

Asma Nadia admitted that she had never visited Ningxia but she was interested in making stories from the area into her book. On the other hand, not a few have asked whether Assalamualaikum Beijing 2: Lost in Ningxia

"Assalamualaikum Beijing, there are five production houses that have been asked by producers, the same fate as Assalamualaikum Beijing 2," said Asma Nadia.

The filming of the film was planned for this month but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are still delaying production until conditions are safe.

"The plan was to shoot this October, but it was not possible and in China it has not been opened," answered Asma.

Regarding the players, Asma admitted that he already had several young players in their 20s but did not want to precede the production house in making announcements.
