6 Athletes Of Papua National Sports Week In Jayapura Are Positive For COVID-19, Some Are Treated At KM Tidar
JAKARTA - A total of six XX/2021 National Sports Week (PON) athletes in Papua who competed in various arenas in Jayapura were tested positive for COVID-19.
Head of the Jayapura City Health Office, Dr. Nyoman Antari in Jayapura, Tuesday, admitted that the six athletes who were positive for the new coronavirus came from various provinces who are currently competing in XX PON Papua.
Citing Antara, the six positive athletes came from DKI Jakarta each and two from North Sumatra, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), and East Kalimantan, one each.
Athletes who are positive for COVID-19 are currently being treated in floating centralized isolation areas KM Tidar and Provita Hospital. In addition, he said, some are undergoing self-quarantine.

He said that currently there are three people who are undergoing centralized isolation at KM Tidar, including two athletes.
Currently, there are 33 positive cases of COVID-19 in Jayapura City who are being treated and most of them are undergoing self-quarantine. Cumulatively, there are 12.859 positive COVID-19 cases in Jayapura City, 12.558 people have recovered and 268 people have died.
