The Latest News From The Ministry Of Youth And Sports Regarding PSSI Assistance Fund Proposals

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) has provided assistance funds for a number of sports to prepare for the Tokyo Olympics which will be held in 2021. So what about the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) which will face the U-20 World Cup?

In its official statement, Kemenpora conveyed that the PSSI proposal is currently being finalized through a review process for further selection. It is hoped that in the near future there will be a signing of a cooperation agreement or MoU between Kemenpora and PSSI.

In this review process, there are several aspects to consider. Starting from an exercise program for a certain period of time, planning try in, try out and training camp, personnel needs (managers, trainers, support staff), training equipment needs and supplement needs.

Later, administrative selection and budget requirements will be carried out by the selection team in the form of PPK. The results of this selection are then submitted to the PPK as a consideration in determining the amount of assistance.

Meanwhile, Menpora Zainudin Amali said preparations for the U-20 World Cup were continuing. Kemenpora also made intense communication with PSSI. This was done in order to realize President Joko Widodo's direction that Indonesia would not only be successful as an organizer, but also have successful achievements.

"That's why finally divided (responsibilities). I am responsible for organizing, Ketum PSSI is responsible for achievement," said the man from Gorontalo in a chat with MNCTrijaya.

Not only to PSSI, Kemenpora also communicated with FIFA regarding preparations for the upcoming U-20 World Cup. Menpora emphasized that there had not been any changes related to the holding of this big event.

"We are synchronizing everything. That is a sign that nothing has changed," said the Menpora.
