Witnessed By Prabowo And Puan Maharani, Jokowi Inaugurates The Modular Hospital Project In Papua Working On PTPP

JAKARTA - The state-owned construction company, PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) also attended the inauguration of the TNI LB Moerdani Modular General Hospital which had been built by PTPP in Papua. The inauguration was carried out directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo on Sunday 3 October in Tanah Miring, Merauke Regency, Papua Province.

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by the Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives Puan Maharani, the Indonesian Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono, the SVP of the Andek Prabowo Building Division, and other officials. The inauguration ceremony was held at the project site by implementing strict Covid-19 health protocols.

PTPP President Director Novel Arsyad said the construction project of the Modular General TNI LB Moerdani Hospital, located in Merauke Regency, was completed in just 28 days. The project, which is owned by the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, began in early September 2021 and could be completed in early October 2021 while still prioritizing the quality of PTPP's work.

"The scope of the project development includes, among others: structural work, architectural work, mechanical work, electrical work, electronic work, medical work (medical gas work, bed head, nurse calls, and ventilators), procurement of medical equipment, and landscape work. The hospital has a total bed capacity of 201 beds. With the completion of the project construction, we hope that the Modular Hospital can be useful for the surrounding community, "said Novel Arsyad in a written statement, Tuesday, October 5.

The TNI LB Moerdani Modular General Hospital has complete facilities, ranging from inpatient rooms, radiology, and pharmacy. Not only that, the hospital also has a quarantine room, laboratory, Emergency Room (IGD), and an operating room.

In his remarks at the inauguration ceremony, President Joko Widodo revealed that the Modular General TNI LB Moerdani Hospital could be used to support the implementation of and after the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON).

"Because the current case of COVID-19 has decreased, has been sloping, this is also in addition to supporting the implementation of PON XX in Papua, later it can also be used post-PON to serve the entire community," said Jokowi.

"This is urgently needed to help the sick people with health services that are fast and easy and affordable. I advise that this hospital be used as well as possible to serve the entire community with fast and convenient services," said Jokowi.
