Members Of The Motorcycle Gang In Cirebon Attacked After Live On Social Media, 6 People Arrested 1 Fugitive
CIREBON – Two motorcycle gangs in Cirebon were involved in a brawl. There were no fatalities as a result of the incident, but the two reported each other to the Cirebon Police after a number of members from each gang were beaten.
Cirebon City Police Chief AKBP Fahri Siregar said, the results of the examination and investigation, his party had arrested six members.
"We arrested seven people, both perpetrators of beatings and carrying sharp weapons (celurit)," said Cirebon City Police Chief AKBP Fahri Siregar, in Cirebon, Monday, September 4.
The seven people identified by the suspect are gang members. Six of them were named Ezra Dwiyan (18), Abdul Rohim (17), Saprudin (26), Dwi Septiana (21), Muhamad Zidan (18), and Nidya Mareta (16.
The six people, said Fahri, were the perpetrators of the beating of the victim, Yusuf Hidayah (16), another gang member.
"We have also named another person, Yusuf Hidayah, a suspect, because he was proven to be carrying a sharp weapon," he also said.
Fahri said the seven suspects were arrested after the victim reported being beaten by the arrested suspects.
According to him, the beginning of the beating began when the Cirebon195 motorcycle gang carried out live social media and challenged other gangs. After that the gang member, said Fahri, roamed the street brandishing the sickle he was carrying, then there was a gang of suspects who were in the vicinity of the victim's path.
"Furthermore, the victim and his friends were chased by the suspects. After that, there was a beating," he said again.
Currently, the Cirebon City Police are still pursuing other suspects who have been designated on the wanted list (DPO) in the persecution case.
As a result of his actions, the six suspects were subject to Article 170 of the Criminal Code, while another was subject to the Emergency Law, with the threat of a maximum imprisonment of 10 years.
