Facebook Refuses To Be Honest, Its Service Is Down, Here Are The Facts!

JAKARTA - Many have speculated about the decline in Facebook's services. Not a few who offer a way to fix it. However, so far none has succeeded.

On his Twitter account, Facebook Communications Executive Andy Stone acknowledged that a number of his services had experienced downturns or errors, and he was working on his team to fix them.

Likewise with Facebook which stated, "We are aware that some people are having difficulty accessing our applications and products. We are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for the inconvenience," Facebook said in its official Twitter account.

But until now there is not a single company statement that tells the cause of this event, making everyone, of course, speculate.

Quoting Techradar, Tuesday, October 5, Brian Krebs of cybersecurity firm Krebs on Security tweeted his conclusion that the Domain Name System (DNS) that routes traffic to Facebook sites and services was simply pulled today.

Krebs clarified that the reason for the change was not clear. It is possible that the company made a mistake while updating their system.

AppleInsider also reports that Cloudflare SVP Dane Knecht tweeted an observation, Facebook's DNS and other services are down and their BGP routes have been pulled from the internet. Knecht noted that Cloudflare also saw its own failures.

Previously, similar events also occurred in March and April, where each Facebook service such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger experienced a decline in service for more than half an hour at a time. This is probably the same issue as it affects Facebook's suite of apps and services globally as well.
