Kemenpora Ready To Provide Assistance Funds For Sports In The Middle Of A Pandemic, But There Are Conditions
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) provided assistance funds to two sports (cabor), archery and athletics, recently. The aid fund is a form of Kemenpora's attention to athletes in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
These funds can also be obtained from other sports, provided they meet the requirements. Menpora Zainudin Amali said the government provides assistance as long as there are sports activities to be targeted. Call it the Olympics which will be held next year in Tokyo, Japan.
"Lastly we had an MoU with athletics, archery. Previously there were boxing and several others that were also being prepared for the Olympics," said Zainudin Amali.

"That is the basis so that we can provide assistance to athletes and coaches in their respective sports," he continued.
This man from Gorontalo revealed that his party could not arbitrarily provide assistance funds because it used state funds. There are difficulties faced so that the Ministry of Youth and Sports must be extra careful in using it.
"Because this uses state money and is limited, we cannot be arbitrary," he said.
Meanwhile, the Menpora also said that there were several sports that continued to carry out face-to-face exercises in the midst of the pandemic. However, an exercise program is carried out using strict health protocols. Kemenpora has no problem with this as long as there is coordination.
For sports that want to hold the exercise face-to-face, they are asked to present their plans in advance, what is the implementation, when, where and the implementation of their health protocols. So far there are three sports that carry out the exercises with strict health protocols.
"Namely the badminton national plate in Cipayung, the national plate shooting at the Senayan Shoot Field and weightlifting at the Marine Complex in Kwini," said the Menpora.
