JAKARTA - A joint team from West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province evacuated the bodies of fishermen who were victims of a ship collision accident in the waters of the Bangka Strait on Friday, October 1.

A joint team consisting of the West Bangka Police Satpolir, Basarnas, Mentok Navy Post and West Bangka PMI evacuated the bodies that were found about two miles from the scene. Candra explained, on Monday, October 4, at around 09.15 WIB, personnel from the Satpolair Polres Bangka Barat received information that the body of the victim of an accident between a fishing boat and a tugboat that occurred on Friday, October 1 has been found by the victim's older brother. also works as a fisherman looking for fish while looking for victims around the scene and found Ronald's body floating in a location about two miles from the scene," he said.
Receiving this information, the joint team immediately went to the location of the discovery and evacuated the body. At the time of the incident, the Sea Camar fishing boat collided with TB Lintas Gemilang causing the fishing boat to sink. The Sea Camar fishing boat was carrying three fishermen, each Ronald (18), Adi (40) and Damsik (30) who were all fishermen from Sungsang, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. "In that incident Adi and Damsik were rescued by fishermen who were in the vicinity, while Ronald drowned and his body was only found today," he said.
