Will PPKM Jakarta Level Down? Deputy Governor Riza Answers This

JAKARTA - Today is the last day of the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) for Java-Bali and outside Java-Bali. The government will announce the extension of the PPKM later tonight.

Then, will PPKM in Jakarta go down from level 3 to level 2? Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria admitted that he did not know how the PPKM would continue in the capital city.

"The results will be announced by the central government today. Of course, PPKM is the authority of the central government," said Riza at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, October 4.

Riza emphasized that determining the level of PPKM is the authority of the central government. Therefore, he asked the residents to wait for the decision to be announced by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.

"Whatever the decision will be, we will carry it out. Maybe the next PPKM will stay at level 3 or go down to level 2 or level 1, we'll just have to wait," said Riza.

"Of course, whatever the central government's policy is, it will go through a long and good evaluation, not only for Jakarta, but also for other citizens. So, we'll just have to wait," he continued.
