Today's Mud Raid Continues At Munjul Reservoir, 100 Personnel Deployed
JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government is intensively carrying out the Mud Raid program as an effort to control floods. Yesterday, mud raids were carried out in Mookervart River and Sunter River.
Head of the Water Resources Service (SDA) Yusmada Faizal said that today the Mud Raid was continued in Munjul Reservoir, East Jakarta. The personnel deployed were 100 people from cross-regional work units (SKPD).
"In an effort to prevent the impact of the rainy season through this Mud Gerebek, our Water Resources Service always collaborates with various parties. The dredging target in the Munjul Reservoir is 163,163 square meters," Yusmada said at the location, Monday, October 4.
During today's Mud Gerebek, the DKI Provincial Government deployed 10 units of heavy equipment consisting of 3 long arm excavators, 6 standard excavators, and 1 small amphibious excavator.
Part of the dredged mud obtained from the Munjul Reservoir will be made of embankments and part of it will be sent to a dump site in the TPU Bambu Apus area, East Jakarta.
Dredging activities carried out in the Munjul Reservoir segment were carried out to reduce the river load which is expected to reduce the risk of flooding in the surrounding location, up to the Cipinang Melayu Village, East Jakarta.
Yusmada hopes that with this Mud Gerebek activity, the community will be able to feel the benefits directly, especially being helped in handling flood problems.
"Therefore, let us all collaborate to deal with flood problems in Jakarta. We can start from the simplest, which is not littering," he said.
