Munarman Saol Complete Terrorism Case File, Will Be Tried Soon
JAKARTA - Former General Secretary of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Munarman will soon undergo trial on the alleged terrorism case. This is after the investigation file of the case was declared complete or P21.
"Yes (complete file)," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan when confirmed, Monday, October 4.
With the complete case files both formally and materially, the Densus 88 Anti-terror investigators will carry out phase two. This means that Munarman and all the evidence will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office.
Based on the data, the investigation file against Munarman has been declared complete since 20 September 2021.
On the previous occasion, Ramadhan had mentioned that Munarman's investigation file had been returned by the Research Prosecutor because it was incomplete.
Thus, investigators complete the deficiency by following the instructions of the prosecutor. Then, investigators handed it back on August 16, 2021.
"Yes, (Munarman's file was sent). On August 16, 2021," said Ramadhan. Munarman was arrested by Densus 88 on Tuesday, April 27 at around 15.30 WIB at Modern Hills Housing, Cinangka, Pamulang, South Tangerang.
During the arrest process, Munarman was not given the opportunity to explain anything. In fact, to just use sandals. When he arrived at Polda Metro Jaya, Munarman was taken away blindfolded and handcuffed.
Munarman is suspected of mobilizing other people to commit acts of terrorism, having bad intentions to commit acts of terrorism and hiding information about criminal acts of terrorism.
After the arrest of Munarman, the Densus 88 team also conducted a search of the former office of the banned FPI mass organization in Petamburan, Central Jakarta. During the search, the team found explosive raw materials for TATP or triacetone triperoxide, acetone, and nitrate.
