Health Protocol Compliance Scores Continue To Improve, People Are Asked Not To Be Careless In Facing The COVID-19 Pandemic
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Task Force said that the community's compliance score in implementing health protocols in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic continued to improve.
Community mobility that continues to occur due to the decreasing level of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in a number of areas has been accompanied by increased discipline to use masks, maintain distance, and wash hands.
"We are grateful that the level of compliance with health protocols continues to improve," said Head of Behavior Change for the COVID-19 Task Force Sonny B. Harmadi in a written statement quoted on Monday, October 4.
He explained that based on the Behavior Change Monitoring Dashboard of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, the compliance score for wearing masks was 7.78 in the period from July 3 to August 2. However, on September 3 to October 2 this figure rose to 7.92 percent.
Then, hand washing compliance scores also increased. The period August 3 to September 2 the figure ranged at 7.84. Meanwhile, in the period from 3 September to 2 October 2021, the figure will be 7.88.
Even so, the government will continue to strive and invite the public to be disciplined and consistent in carrying out health protocols in the midst of this pandemic. "Because even a little carelessness will have an impact on a spike in cases," said Sonny.
He even asked the public to learn from many countries that experienced a spike in cases after relaxing health protocols in the midst of easing activities.
Not only that, Sonny also reminded that the opening of activities in the country such as teaching and learning activities and others after the PPKM level decreased must be accompanied by tightening health protocols.
"This will be the key to economic recovery in line with the handling of the health of the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.
Likewise, the Minister of Communication and Information, Johnny G Plate, reminded the public that they should not be careless in implementing the health protocols even though the current score has improved. Not only that, the politician from the NasDem Party also reminded the public to immediately carry out vaccinations.
"The Ministry of Communication and Informatics continues to encourage people to maintain health procedures, especially wearing masks and getting vaccinated immediately through the campaign, let's wear masks, let's get vaccinated quickly," said Johnny.
