Dedi Mulyadi: I Rarely Hang Out At The DPR, The Building Is Uncomfortable
JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian Parliament, Dedi Mulyadi, admitted that he did not feel at home for long in the DPR RI building, Senayan, Jakarta because the rooms in the building had minimal ventilation.
"The room is not comfortable. There are too many cooling devices and minimal ventilation," said Dedi as quoted by Antara, Monday, July 20.
He said that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the DPR room was prone to transmission of the corona virus due to lack of ventilation.
"That's one of the reasons I rarely 'hang out' in the DPR building and go around to the field a lot. Yes, because the building is not comfortable. In that building, the closed rooms are equipped with air conditioners and there is no ventilation," he said.
The former Regent of Purwakarta admits that every time he enters the office for a meeting, he only waits outside the building while walking around, not indoors.
In fact, the Golkar politician occasionally meets the security guard to chat. After meeting hours arrived, just entered the room.
"After the meeting I immediately went home. I only used the air conditioner in the car. That was 24 degrees," he said.
He suggested that the DPR building be renovated, especially with regard to ventilation. Because the building must have lots of ventilation and reduce cooling equipment. The windows should also be open.
