2 Years Left Due To COVID-19, The Nagan Raya Aceh Regency Government Immediately Reactivates The Women's Dormitory
ACEH - The Nagan Raya Aceh Regency Government will immediately reactivate the female dormitory belonging to the regional government on Jalan Cendana, Lingke Village, Syiah Kuala District, Banda Aceh City. The dormitory has been abandoned by students for almost two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"This building is used again to help female students studying in the provincial capital, so there is no need to rent a house during lectures," said Head of the Nagan Raya District Education Office Zulkifli in Nagan Raya, Antara, Sunday, October 3.
Based on the results of the visit to the dormitory location, the current condition of the dormitory must be rehabilitated because the condition of the building is in a state of disrepair and needs maintenance.
"For the time being, this dormitory will be cleaned this year, for the rehabilitation of the building, efforts will be made in 2022," said Zulkifli.
He said the results of the inspection of the dormitory building were immediately reported to the Regent of Nagan Raya, HM Jamin Idham and the Regional Secretary Ardimartha. It is hoped that the building will soon be used again for female students from Nagan Raya who are studying in Banda Aceh.
In order to prevent the building from being abandoned, Zulkifli has asked the Head of Ipelmasra Banda Aceh to find a cleaner to clean the dorm complex.
Meanwhile, Head of the Nagan Raya Student Association (Ipelmasra) Banda Aceh, Jabal Abdul Salam in a written statement said, since the COVID-19 pandemic, the girls' dormitory was abandoned by female students because female students studied online.
As a result of not being occupied for a long time, various belongings of the female student were allegedly stolen so that the female student from Nagan Raya was traumatized by re-occupying the building.
"Because it has been abandoned for two years, the girls' dormitory needs rehabilitation," said Jabal Abdul Salam.
