COVID-19 Update As Of October 3rd: 1,142 New Cases, 58 More Death Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 238,058 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 1,142 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,219,284 people and active cases of 32,876," according to data from the Ministry of Health, Sunday, October 3.

Today's recovered cases increased by 2,020 cases, bringing the total to 4,044,235 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 58 people and a total of 142,173 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 127 cases and a total of 858,198 cases. Followed by East Java which has 115 new cases with a total of 395,843 cases. West Java has 97 new cases and a total of 703,140 cases. Then, Bali has 71 new cases and a total of 112,837 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 229 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an increase of 201 recovered cases, East Java with an increase of 190 recovered cases, and North Sumatra with an additional 154 recovered cases.

No province has reported no new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 39,847,564.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 0.98 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 388,368 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently there are 93.78-.446 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 52,676,053 the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 960,380. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
