Director Of Transjakarta Sardjono Jhony Dies Of Illness, Buried At TPU Pondok Ranggon, East Jakarta

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Transjakarta Sardjono Jhony Tjitrokusumo passed away today. Jhony breathed his last at the Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) Gatot Subroto.

"The President Director passed away at 09.51 WIB due to illness. He has been in the ICU for several days," said PT Transjakarta Acting Director Welfizon Yuza when confirmed, Sunday, October 3.

According to the plan, Jhony will be buried at the Pondok Ranggon TPU, East Jakarta. However, Welfizon said that Jhony died not due to exposure to COVID-19.

For information, Jhony was officially appointed as President Director of PT Transjakarta on May 29, 2020 by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan.

Prior to joining Transjakarta, Jhony was an aviator who had worked for several world airlines, was the President Director of Merpati Nusantara Airlines from 2010 to 2012, and was the founder and owner of the Leste Aviation Company in Timor Leste in 2013.

In addition, Jhony has also been Director of Operations for West Java International Airport, Chairman of West Java Enterprises Partnership, Founder of Leste Development And Investment Company in 2016 and subsequently served as Director of Business Development of PT Angkasa Pura 1 (Persero) from 2017 to 2020 which oversees the portfolio.
