Anies' Subordinates Talk About 'Silver Man', Because They Are Still Of Productive Age, They Are Given Workshop And Welding Training
JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Social Sub-dept. said that the average "silver human" buskers who were arrested by officers were still of productive age. Supervision and control operations carried out from January to September 2021, the Central Jakarta Social and Social Service Agency have secured 29 silver people.
"The majority of them are still teenagers, they go to the Social Development Institution for Youth (PSBR), which is in Tebet," said Head of Social Affairs Office for Central Jakarta, Abdul Salam when contacted by VOI, Sunday, October 3.
But social workers also often do persuasive dispelling.
"We also chased away silver people at the Menteng KPU traffic light. From there, there were 3 silver people who we appealed to no longer do begging on the road, especially at red lights," he said.
Even though he was only given a warning first, if the silver man returned home, the social worker would make a question letter to be followed up and sent to a social institution to receive guidance.
If the silver men are caught and undergo training at PSBR, the buskers will receive training in AC service skills, vehicle mechanics, sewing courses and welding techniques.
"Before being given coaching, they will receive an assessment to identify where they will be placed. Identification includes age, gender, and assessment. They will be placed in an appropriate nursing home and skill class," he said.
He said, the rise of the social phenomenon of silver man-style buskers is an economic necessity and urgency. He considered, all Regional Apparatus Work Units (SKPD) must be involved in solving these social problems.
"Providing follow-up. Usually to the business world that has worked with orphanages," he said.
