JAKARTA - The task of the RI-Malaysia Pamtas Task Force Battalion 144/JY is not only about guarding borders or detecting violations of regional boundaries. But sometimes that is far from military affairs.

The RI-Malaysia Pamtas Task Force Battalion 144/JY assisted in the funeral of residents in Langau Village, Puring Kencana District, Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan.

This was conveyed by Dansatgas Pamtas RI-Malaysia Lieutenant Colonel Inf Andri Suratman in a written statement at the Badau Kotis Post on Saturday, October 2 yesterday.

"The presence of our Task Force not only guards the border but also overcomes the difficulties of the people, so that good communication is established between the TNI and the people as our Task Force members have done to help residents who died from breast cancer," he said.

"We, the big family of the Task Force, share our condolences for the death of the deceased, may we be given fortitude to the bereaved family and the deceased's sins are forgiven by God Almighty," he said.

Hendrikus, as the village head, expressed his gratitude for the assistance from the Task Force personnel from funeral homes to public cemeteries and lifting the coffin to the grave.

"Hopefully Mr. Task Force for his good deeds will be rewarded by God Almighty," he said as quoted from Dispenad.

Serda Dedi Bustamil and other personnel, cooperated with each other in the funeral procession of the late mother Basi Akandum, starting from the funeral home and lifting the coffin to the public cemetery despite the unfavorable weather.
