Anies Cannot Wash Her Hands For The Colosseum Case

JAKARTA - The governor in Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, is considered to have 'washed hands' in the case of the withdrawal of the 2019 Adi Karyawisata Award for the discotheque category to the Jakarta Colosseum to the removal of Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Culture Office (Disparbud).

This was stated by the chairman of the PDIP faction at the DPRD DKI, Gembong Warsono. Gembong said, all decision makers, especially regarding the awarding of awards on behalf of Disparbud, are actually in the hands of Anies.

"Regarding the awarding, the final is in the governor's hands. Because the final is in the Governor, the governor must be responsible, not wash his hands," said Gembong when contacted, Tuesday, December 17.

The reason is, the person who signed the certificate as an Adi Karyawisata award giver was Anies as the Governor of DKI Jakarta. However, Anies claims that the signature he gave was in print, not a wet signature using a pen.

This reason, according to Gembong, cannot be used as Anies' defense to release responsibility for the problem to the DKI Disparbud.

"Before signing, we can find out information (award nominations) from others. So, this is a decision that must be observed. You can't just blame your subordinates," said Gembong.

For information, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan removed the Acting Head of DKI Jakarta Disparbud Alberto Ali from his position. This removal was carried out immediately after the cancellation of the 2019 Adi Karyawisata award to the Colosseum discotheque.

That means, Alberto only served as Acting Head of Disparbud for 42 days, after replacing Edy Junaedi, who resigned after the DKI Jakarta budget post-polemic. Now, Alberto is back in his initial position, namely the Head of Information and Development for the DKI Disparbud.

Currently, the position of Acting Head of Disparbud is filled by Sri Haryati as Assistant Regional Secretary for the Economy. Anies argued that the dismissal of Disparbud leadership was due to negligence and inaccuracy in selecting award awards.

Given, the DKI Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) conducted raids at the Colosseum on Sunday, September 8. The Jakarta National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) secured 34 visitors to the Colosseum and 1001 hotels who tested positive for narcotics after taking urine tests. 19 of them were men and 15 were women.

"Well, their negligence, it is clear that there was a letter in October, how come it is still being processed as a candidate and getting an award. Instead, the report should have been processed. How come it was given an award?" said Anies.

Regarding signing a signature on his behalf, Anies considers that a printed signing can be done when awards are given in large numbers. Given that, there were 31 tourism sector companies that received awards from various categories.

"Like this, if you graduated, the chancellor's signed what? Print. Yes. Then for a SIM? SIM, how about a signed? Print. Only, that's a signature that applies a lot to the charter," he added.
