JAKARTA - The joint SAR team has resumed the search for victims of drowning in the Cipinang River, Makasar Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta. The search this time involved dozens of joint SAR personnel and was extended to 10 kilometers.

"Today we will maximize the search by expanding the area to 10 kilometers. The search uses SAR equipment and personnel in the field. Hopefully we will find the victim soon," said Head of the Jakarta Search and Rescue Office SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC), Hendra Sudirman to VOI , Sunday 3 October.

In the search on Saturday, October 2, yesterday, his party divided the search area into two. The first SRU (Search and Rescue Unit) team conducted a search using a rubber boat at the scene of up to 7 KM. Meanwhile, the second SRU conducted a visual search from the scene of the incident up to 4 KM.

As is known, the victim Andrian Maulana (13) was reported missing and drowned in Cipinang River, Makasar District, since Thursday, September 30, yesterday.

The victim was on his way home running when it rained heavily in the area. Then it slipped and fell into a culvert with a high volume of water and a strong current.

The victim's companion saw the victim being swept away by the current. The victim's friend gave chase, but unfortunately the victim was nowhere to be seen.

Until now the search process continues to be carried out by the joint SAR team. The search involves personnel from the joint SAR team from the Jakarta Search and Rescue Office, TRC BPBD Prov. DKI Jakarta, Makassar Sector Fire Department, Satpol PP Kel. Makassar, Makassar Police Sector, Makasar Village and a number of other rescue elements.
