Visit Bolaang Mongondow Flood Survivors, Social Minister Risma Hopes No More Illegal Logging
JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini hopes that there will be no further destruction and illegal logging that occurs to prevent flooding.
"The most important thing is how there is no more, especially for the destruction, illegal logging that occurs," Minister Risma said while visiting Batu Merah Village, Sangklikang District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency, North Sulawesi, Friday, as reported by Antara.
Caring for the environment according to the Minister must be done together and take care of each other so as not to cause bad impacts in the future.
The Minister will also convey to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry regarding this matter.
"Yes, we must do this together. Protecting the environment is a shared task, both the government and the community," said the Minister of Social Affairs.
The Ministry of Social Affairs also allocates a budget for repairing damaged houses, but will still wait for data from the local government.
The Minister of Social Affairs also took the time to greet the children at the Psychosocial Support Service (LDP) tent while hoping to stay enthusiastic and not forget to learn.
"Keep the spirit, yes. Don't forget to learn to be smart children," said the Minister of Social Affairs while distributing children's food packages.
The Minister of Social Affairs also greeted some residents he met and asked to be patient for the disaster that occurred.

For flood survivors, the Ministry of Social Affairs has prepared assistance in the form of one unit red and white multipurpose tent, 120 packages of ready-to-eat food /10 boxes, 120 packages of children's food /20 boxes, 100 sheets of blankets, 10 packages of 'kid ware', 50 packages of 'family kit' , five packages of 'foodware', 100 sheets of rolled tents, 35 packages of kitchen utensils, 50 mattresses, 20 folding mattresses, and one ton of regular rice.
The total value of the assistance distributed by the Ministry of Social Affairs in Bolaang Mongondow Regency is Rp. 146,772,700.
