After Caplok Ranch Market, Hartono Brothers Conglomerate Acquires Tunas Pratama Solution For IDR 16.72 Trillion

JAKARTA - Djarum Group is again "busy" to expand through acquisitions. After officially annexing PT Supra Boga Lestari Tbk (RANC) aka Ranch Market with a value of IDR 2.03 trillion, this time Djarum, owned by the Hartono Brothers conglomerate, acquired a telecommunications tower issuer, PT Solusi Tunas Pratama Tbk (SUPR).

PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR) belonging to the Djarum Group, through their subsidiary, PT Professional Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Protelindo), took over 94.03 percent of SUPR's shares. In the disclosure of information delivered by the Deputy President Director of Protelindo, Adam Gifari, quoted on Saturday, October 2, the number of shares purchased by Protelindo was 1,069,614,676 shares with a purchase price of Rp. 15,640.51 per share.

As a result, the amount that TOWR disbursed to annex SUPR was IDR 16.72 trillion. The purchase price was above the price on Friday, October 1 trading yesterday at the level of Rp. 14,800/share.

It is noted that Protelindo took over SUPR's shares from 14 parties, including PT Kharisma Indah Ekaprima, Cahaya Anugerah Nusantara Holdings Limited; Pioneering Networks Investments; Fajarindo Nusantara Holdings; Perdana Indonesia Holdings; Uniperkasa Indonesia Investments; Nusantara Connectivity Ventures; Puncak Pratama Holdings Limited.

Next up, Clearwater Insight Investments; Growing Eternal Holdings Limited; Sentral Nusantara Holdings Limited; Great Archipelago Capital; Evergreen Digital Capital; and Towering Heights Investments Limited.

"The purpose of the takeover is to develop Protelindo's business and expand its business network in order to strengthen PRTL's position as an independent tower owner and operator in order to serve Indonesian telecommunications operators," said Adam Gifari.

For information, the Djarum Group is owned by the two richest people in Indonesia, Robert Budi Hartono and Michael Bambang Hartono. Their business octopus is in the cigarette companies PT Djarum, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), TOWR, e-commerce Blibli, to the recently acquired Ranch Market.

According to Forbes Real Time Billionaires data as of October 1, 2021, Robert Budi Hartono occupies the first position of the richest person in Indonesia and the 91st position of the richest person in the world. His total wealth is currently estimated at 20.1 billion US dollars or IDR 287 trillion.

While his brother, Michael Bambang Hartono is the second richest person in the country and the 99th position of the richest man in the world. Michael's total wealth is estimated at 19.3 billion US dollars or around Rp. 275 trillion.
