110 Referral Hospitals In East Java Zero COVID-19 Patients
SURABAYA - A total of 110 COVID-19 referral hospitals in East Java, no longer have patients infected with the corona virus as of early October.
East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa said the data was obtained from the Ministry of Health which was published online on September 30.
"There are a total of 164 COVID-19 referral hospitals in East Java. Based on data from the Ministry of Health as of September 30 yesterday, the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit or ICU at 110 referral hospitals has reached zero patients," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday. , October 1st.
This, said Khofifah, means that as many as 67 percent of the COVID-19 referral hospitals in East Java have zero patients.
Khofifah said the Ministry of Health also announced the isolation of COVID-19 patients in 52 referral hospitals in the East Java region with zero patients.
"This means that as many as 31 percent of referral hospitals have zero patients in isolation. One of them is the Indrapura Field Emergency Hospital, Surabaya," he said.
Based on this data, Khofifah stated that the bed occupancy rate (BOR) of COVID-19 patients in the East Java region was below the minimum standard of 60 percent as set by the world health organization (WHO).
"Even though the BOR is below the standard set by WHO, I ask you to remain vigilant and follow the discipline of health protocols and accelerate vaccination," he said.
Khofifah expressed her gratitude for the hard work, synergy, prayers and collaboration of health workers, Forkopimda and various elements of society who have worked together to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19.
"It is necessary to continue to strive and pray so that the COVID-19 condition in East Java remains under control and becomes more sloping," he said.
